Vintage Slab & Nugget Style Turquoise and Brown Chrysocolla Quartz in Matrix Necklace & Earrings Set. The necklace measures approximately 19 1/4 inches in length and is finished with silver plated cones and lobster style clasp. The necklace contains nine rectangular slab chrysocolla measuring from 1 x 3/4 inch to 3/4 x 5/8 inch and average 3/8 inch thickness and polished chrysocolla nugget beads measuring an average of 9.5 to 10.5 mm. The chrysocolla is a bright turquoise blue with rusty brown matrix (similar to Royston turquoise). The matching earrings are decorated with 2 each nugget style chrysocolla beads and round silver melon beads and sterling silver ear wires. The earrings measure approximately 1 3/4 inch in total length and the earwires are stamped 925. A great piece to add to your collection of handmade artist jewelry.
My husbands father brought back many lovely pieces of jewelry, porcelain, clothing, perfumes, and household items to his new bride upon his return from Europe after WWII.
