    Description

    Rare and hard to find the olive leaves in a set.
    This collection evokes the sleek, elegant leaves of the olive trees grown at The Cloisters museum and gardens, where more than 300 species of plants are cultivated.  Among these is the distinctive evergreen Olea europaea, or common olive, the historically prominent staple of Mediterranean life."  This collection was inspired by the Greeks olive leaf symbolism of peace and victory.
    Four elegant pieces from the Michael Michaud Fine Jewelry Olive Leaf Collection for the Metropolitan Museum of Art (MMA). These pieces are cast in sterling silver with 24K gold finish and embellished with Peacock freshwater pearls.  The finish tested positive for gold finishing.
    Pierced earrings measure 3/4" x 3/4".  The posts are marked 14K and tested positive easily.
    Necklace (3 on his website) measures 16" long with an S clasp.
    Pin measures 1 3/4" x 2.5".
    All pieces signed MMA.
    The Michael Michaud collection pieces are either hand patinated bronze or 24K gold finishes.
    Never worn.
    In excellent condition.
