This was an estate find and is new with original tags. It is vintage and was in storage. There is some oxidation on the metal. Also, the lacquer that is on the faux turquoise beads is starting to come off, leaving the beads a bit tacky. I did research and found that this is normal and happens over time. The Marjorie Baer website states that they offer cleaning and refinishing services that cost . Per item. And that they will cover return shipping. The last two photos are screenshots from their website. If I’m being honest, I don’t think it’s necessary to get it refinished. If I were to keep this set because there aren’t that many beads and it’s not that bad I would just paint them with clear nail polish. This is only my opinion and you would do it at your own discretion doing so, may disqualify the set from refinishing services.
Don’t let this scare you. This is a beautiful set and it is rare. I’m not sure that someone else would even note these defects. Like I said they are absolutely expected and normal, listed on the website, and the reason they offer cleaning/refinishing services. I just believe in 100% full disclosure. There are sold comps per WorthPoint at 0+ for this set in used condition. My price reflects the defects.
