VIKING MODEL PRINTED AIRPLANE PLANSPower: .06 - .10 2-stroke glow fuel
Wingspan: 48"
The Cleveland Viking kit was advertised in 1940 as “a sporty looking good flying model for the new small motors.” The engine reference was to the then new Ohlsson & Rice .23 and the Brat. It was capable of fine R.O.G. flights and showed good thermalling ability.
This version is a modern design of the classic Cleveland model. The plane is typical stick construction with the use of lite ply sides. The use of lite ply for the fuselage siding produces a remarkably strong and simple to build system that gives a square frame every time.
The plane has a 48” wingspan and a very lightly loaded wing - perfect for catching thermal updraft air currents. Power for this Viking will be .06 to .10 two stroke engines. This is a great airplane with gentile flying characteristics in
one 30" x 42" drawing.
