. This historic document was printed by the Bureau of Engraving and Printing and has an ornate border around it with a vignette of the bond name. This item has the printed signature of Ellis H. Roberts Treasurer of the United States, and Secretary, and is over 119 years old.
The bonds were issued by The United States as a way to provide funds to meet the expenditures of the Spanish-American War.
