Description

THE ZOMBIES - 1970 concert poster
Original 1970 boxing style cardboard concert (or, dance !) poster from a show by these 'British legends' (*see below),
in Evansville, Indiana.
Thick cardboard poster measures approx 14" x 22" (35.56 x 55.88 cm)
Poster has 4 vertical creases from top to bottom + 2 horizontal creases from side to side, general wear + pin holes in both top corners and one small pin hole along bottom edge; small diagonal crack/crease in bottom right corner + tape marks on back + small written blurb on back ("Jay, Thought you could use a little more wall-paper. Shirley").
Pretty much guaranteed that this is a one-of-a-kind rock artifact.
*'British legends' is quite the misnomer here, because in 1970 the real Zombies no longer existed. Instead there
were 2 different U.S. bands traveling the States, masquerading as them, to cash in on the unexpected radio
success of "Time Of The Season." One of these 2 FAKE Zombies bands included Dusty Hill and Frank Beard,
during the very early days of ZZ Top's formation. Read the whole crazy story below - whether or not it was
the 'Texas Zombies' (as opposed to the 'Michigan Zombies') that played this gig is anybody's guess...
