No leaks! She doesn't leak a drop of water, after left overnight, and cruising on the water for hours.
Boat is in Bethel Island in a valet parking marina between Sacramento and Livermore.
Selling because I don't use it enough to keep it and live too far away.
Sea Ray 16 highly desirable OUTBOARD version, no bellows to leak, no outdrive to fix, easy access to everything on the engine. Has much more interior space than the same length inboard boat. 1988.
Yamaha 115hp 4 stroke 2003 with controls commonly sells in California for k+ This Yamaha 4-stroke engine has been zero trouble for all 3 years. Has "Ultra-low emissions" sticker.
Yamaha outboard engine is much easier to start, more powerful (115hp instead of 100hp) and much more reliable than the original 2-stroke Mercury engine.
1988 Sea Ray "Seville" 16 feet long model “160OB”
16’9” long 7’1” wide 1530 pounds (dry weight boat only)
2003 (August) Yamaha 115hp four-stroke outboard engine. 377 pounds. EFI (fuel injected). Burns 5gph at 30mph (cruising/planing), 11gph at 40mph (wide open throttle). Perfect engine and prop for this boat. Starts instantly (within 2 seconds) after sitting eight months due to EFI efficiency. New oil and filter 2022. Oil and Filter changed July 2024. New impeller July 2024. Telltale is strong. Changed gear oil 2022. Alternator generates over 14 volts. Stainless Steel K-19 (19" pitch) propeller in excellent shape. Can share a video of it running on muffs and tilt/trim from June 2024.
Everything works on the engine, tilt and trim, sensors, manual choke, electric choke. Outboard gear oil changed and fuel filter checked and cleaned May 2022. Water stream is powerful with no overheating indicating good working impeller. K-19 Stainless Steel 3 blade propeller (19" pitch), included in sale, retails for 0.
Aftermarket 703 Yamaha engine control with integrated warning buzzer for overheat/low oil and primer switch. I have tested the low oil buzzer (when I changed the oil) and it works and is loud. And it prevents starting the engine if the oil is low and buzzer is active (lockout feature).

The boat itself has hairline cracks (as pictured) at the top and bottom of the transom I noticed last year (and made some improvements), but during the past five trips (and four overnights sleeping on it) it doesn't (and never has) leaked a single drop of water. The only water I've seen inside has come over the bow or from rain. My improvements were adding aluminum angle irons to the outer transom extending to the bottom stringers and stainless steel cable reinforcing directly to the engine mounts near the top of the transom. I read that such cracks happen from towing with the motor up without support, which I did four times before the fix last year. I have a 2x4 now that I use during towing wedged between the bottom roller and the outboard lower, to reduce stress. The cracks have not increased in five tows of 60+ miles, so I'm happy.
