    Description

    This beautiful true black Bakelite ring is 1/4" wide and
    weighs 2 grams and is a size 7 1/2.
    This Vintage Bakelite ring is in excellent condition and its
    authenticity was confirmed
    using the hot water test. Testing using Simichrome polish on true black Bakelite often yields inconclusive results. (See photo #7)
    When that occurs, I resort to the default hot water test. After dipping the ring into hot water for a couple of seconds, the ring gave off the unmistakable chemical odor associated with genuine Bakelite.  No chips or cracks were noted.
