In 1888 the Muller family moved to Sunnytown, PA which was close to the Dentzel Carousel factory. John Henry Muller and sons Daniel and Alfred were hired by Gustal Dentzel. Around 1899 Daniel and Alfred left the Dentzel company for the newly formed Philadelphia Toboggan Company (PTC). The brothers formed the D.C. Muller & Brother Co. which provided carousel figures to the PTC until 1906. The two brothers were excellent carvers but the unique skills of Daniel were the driving force of the company. The brothers produced carousels for numerous companies and operated several themselves. They returned to the Dentzel Co. in 1917 and carved until the demise of the Dentzel factory in 1928. Daniel Muller died at the age of 79.
