Vintage 30" Wingspan Control Line Class 'B' Stunt Model
    Sport - Stunt - Precision - Beauty
Designed by Don McGovern, the Pirate won 1st place in stunt in 1945 at Columbus, OH. The 1946 plans offered here represent a series of improvements from the 1945 model. All told, during this time the Pirate was entered in four contests, taking 1st in Beauty, and one 1st and two 3rd places in Stunt. It was clocked at 65 mph powered with a Forster "29".
In 1948 a 40" wingspan version of the Pirate was kitted by Enterprise, could be powered by .23 to .69 engines. The ad immediately following from a July 1948 air Trails represents that model.
