I AM NOT SELLING A KIT,
only new, full-size copies of the kit
PLANS
from a Carl Goldberg RC kit of his famous
SKYLANE 62
.
Many of us learned to fly RC on the 1/2A
SKYLANE
and then moved up in size and power. There are two huge
PLANS
sheets from a kit. They do not have all the parts patterns on them. A .29 to .35 engine is preferable in this model.
There are no wing rib or bulkhead patterns on this PLAN
but skilled scratch builders have enjoyed making a fine model using the parameters and visible fuselage and wing layouts that are clearly shown on the
PLANS
.
I posted an old Handy Hint illustration that shows how easy it is to make your own wing rib outlines by simply cutting out a root and a tip rib, stacking sheets of balsa in between, and using a sanding block or fine wood rasp to shape all of the ribs.
If you have never built a model from scratch, these are not the plans to start out with.
The full-size
SKYHAWK
on the hangar floor is in Hartselle, AL, and the one in military paint scheme is a T-41 over Fort Rucker, AL---just one of 26 different U. S. Army planes I flew. And, yep, that's me standing beside an Army T-41 back in the 1960s. It was used as a primary trainer after all of our
L-19
s
(0-1 BIRD DOGs) were sent to Vietnam.
My last two pictures are of the
1/2A SKYLANE
RC kit box label and the
PLAN
. I offer a copy of the
PLAN
separately.
I AM NOT SELLING A KIT
