    Description

NEW PICTURES OF COCKPIT UNDER-STRUCTURE, ENGINE AND EXHAUST SYSTEM I have completely reconditioned this vintage Dyer 29 Downeast cruiser. It is solid fiberglass, full-keel semi-displacement hull but draws only 2'6" of water. The cockpit is huge (9' x 11') easily accommodating 10 people and sleeps two in 6'4" V-berths.. The boat features two steering/engine control centers - a wheel mid-ship and a stern tiller to allow captain to be with his company. Other exterior features include all re-painting of topsides and cockpit; new canvas bimini, cockpit lighting, electric windlass and teak swim platform. Interior features include complete re-painting, wiring/lighting, three automatic bilge pumps and new mahogany cabin door and anchor locker doors. It has an onboard head, sink with pressure water and small galley storage area with teak doors. The 1992 Detroit Diesel 4-53 has 1380 hours with new exhaust, alternator, water and fuel pumps, wiring and batteries (2). The engine is excellent, efficient and reliable - burns 3 gal/hr at 2000 RPM and 10 kts. Electronics include a 2007 Garmin GPS and color plotter as well as two hand-held ship to shore radios. This is a thoroughly reconditioned classic. As functional, safe, economical and stylish as a new one. She draws compliments at every port. Great for cocktail cruising, a day of swimming with the family or fishing.. The boat comes with all furniture, coast guard equipment, two anchors and everything shown in the pictures. NEW PICTURES AND RESPONSE TO QUESTIONS. Three additional pictures show the under-structure of the cockpit including the new muffler and exhaust piping. The pictures also illustrate the interior of the solid fiberglass hull. The black rubber bag pictured is the waste container (discharged). As can be seen there is no wood rot and the plywood decking (covered with three layers of fiberglass above) is also sound and dry. Other pictures available upon request show the two one-year old batteries, the new starter and alternator; and the interior of the anchor locker showing the solid fiberglass foredeck. Inspections are welcome and encouraged - call to arrange.
