Description

ARTIS GILMORE - San Antonio Spurs
. Excellent/Near Mint condition, very rare 1983 Sports Illustrated poster. 24 x 36 poster in Great condition. Very rare from that era, especially in this VERY GOOD + condition. Never displayed, put away in poster tubes nearly 40 years ago! Clean, with no pin holes. Edges nice too. Tiny crinkle on two ends but thats only thing that keeps it from pure NRMT condition. Beautiful vibrant colors, never hung or displayed. Only I have handled this item (original owner). Glare in photo #1 is flash from my camera. AWESOME poster from early 1980s...Only existing Gilmore SI poster. Very rare and more so in this particular impossible-to-find rare 1983 one in this high-level condiiton.
Great shot of Gilmore playing on the road at the Omni Arena in Atlanta vs the Hawks. Gilmore was one of most consistent, yet under-rated big men in the NBA in the 1970s and 1980s. Nicknamed "The A-Train", the 7'2 Gilmore played in 670 consecutive games. From my own personal collection.
