Description
For sale locally as well as this auction. This Bayliner is an incredibly clean, maintained and updated boat that needs NOTHING to hit the water.
This doesn’t mean that it needs nothing to be perfect...let’s be real, it’s a 32 year old boat that also had an incident with an ice and snow flow fall from it’s freshwater, covered slip.
Originally a freshwater boat, I just brought this back to slip next to my 55’ boat that is undergoing a complete refit in the Destin area.
Purchased only to use as a floating condo so I have constant access to the big project.
I just single handed this boat through 11 locks and hundreds of NMs on the Tenn-Tom to Mobile Bay, AL with a final stop in the Destin area. Each was a trip avg of 65nm per day.
She performed splendidly and once in Mobile, I went through the ENTIRE fuel system to insure it would continue on to it’s final destination.
I averaged right around 3.6NMpG at 10kts.
Here’s what she has/needs:
42’ LOA
38’ Waterline
13.5’ Beam
3’ Draft (the props are tucked into tunnels)
Twin Ford 351W (recent fluids & tune up)
300G Fuel
100G Fresh water
40G Holding Tank
11G Water Heater
9KW Onan Genset
2 X A/C and Heat
Upgraded to electric heads
2 Cabins
1.5 Bathrooms
3 burner electric range top
Electric oven
Microwave
Nor Cold refrigerator and freezer
Reverse Osmosis system for drinking water
Master V-Berth with queen & access to private head (1/2 bath) & to the main head which has a separate shower/tub combo.
Second stateroom is a big double and can EASILY sleep 2 full grown people.
Galley is updated and has a range, stove full size refrigerator and freezer.
Salon is fairly large and features a built in couch (converts to sleep 2 more in a queen setting), wet bar with ice maker, and lower controls for those not so nice days cruising.
Every person that came aboard this boat during my trip down cannot believe how clean and spacious this boat is.
I challenge you to find another comparable boat that gives you what this does, at this price point.
The cockpit is large and allows really great access to the 351s and genset and boarding through the transom door from the swim platform is easy.
Flybridge has a pretty comfortable sitting area surrounding the helm station.
The ONLY downsides to this boat is that the radar arch and some fiberglass suffered a mishap prior to my ownership.
It was in a covered slip where an ice & snow load broke through the roof and the roof & flow fell onto the Bimini/arch and broke the supports, cracked the flybridge surround on the port side, bent the bow railing, gouged the forward starboard corner of the pilot house.
I removed the radar arch, replaced the damaged nav lights, re-routed the VHF antenna .
Great Candidate for a hardtop!
Canvas is in good shape.
This boat was a freshwater boat and has only been in saltwater since May 16.
Ready to move onto it’s next adventure as a live aboard or coastal cruiser or someone’s first big boat.
USCG Documented Vessel.
We can also deliver this boat pretty much anywhere coastal for the right price
