Please note the Starboard engine requires a rebuild (~00) with suspect manifold gasket replacement hence the reduced price.
The Port engine runs perfectly. (Water pump replaced)
Great opportunity to enjoy the Florida Boating Lifestyle. New batteries (2), new battery charger, new electric toilet, new wastewater pump, water heater, stove, in 2020. All engine maintenance, distributors, belts, pumps, plugs done April 2021. Interior cabin, new rugs, new cushions, new cabin touch lighting with USB charging (5), new anchor, new anchor line in June 2021. This is a fantastic opportunity to get into a very economical pocket cruiser with a flybridge. Lots of room for entertaining!
The 1987 Carver 28ft Mariner was constructed on a solid fiberglass modified-V hull, and her wide 11-foot, 10-inch beam provides the added stability necessary in a small flybridge boat. Designed for coastal and inland waters. Berths are provided for up to six and a solid door (rather than just a curtain) provides stateroom privacy. Dinette converts into a bed as well as the slide-out couch for extra room. The flybridge is huge for a 28-footer with guest seating. Hatches in the cockpit sole provide access to the engines, and the V-drives are reached through the aft sole. Additional features include a bow pulpit, hummingbird fishfinder/depth sounder, swim platform, transom door, speakers/stereo, refrigerator, windlass, and a handheld cockpit shower. Among several engine options, twin Mercruiser 230 hp gas 5.0 engines (305 block) cruise at 17 knots and reach about 25 knots top with ~1350 hours.
It also includes an AC unit but currently not working.
She is in great shape. Hull super dry. Kept on a lift. Reason for sale, upgrading to a larger boat. Happy boating.
