Beautiful 1965 Backdraft Racing Cobra Roadster in a PPG base coat clear coat Indigo Blue w/ Arctic White strips.
A complete 3M transparent film protection is used on the front end and behind the doors on the rear fenders.
This car is titled as a “1965 Shelby” and has been driven only 4,716 miles since its completion in December 2010.
It is in fantastic condition, has always been garage kept, and never raced or abused.

This particular Backdraft Cobra is a “Jack Roush” Limited Edition model.
It is Powered by a Roush prepared Ford 351 Windsor using a Dart block which has been bored & stroked to 427 c.i.
With Dart aluminum heads, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake manifold, a hydraulic roller cam, ceramic coated headers w/chrome leg guards, an MSD distributor & ignition, and Holley carburetor.
The engine dyno sheet and VIN plate show 519 h.p. & 531 ft# of torque!!!
Keeping this Racing Cobra cool is both an oversized aluminum radiator which uses a thermostatically controlled electric fan and an external engine oil cooler.
Backing up this stout Roush prepared motor is a McLeod hydraulic clutch enclosed in a steel “blow proof” bell-housing and attached to a Tremec -T56 6-speed transmission.
The chassis uses 2”x4” rectangular steel tubing with reinforced steel plates in high stress areas.
The independent front suspension uses rack & pinion steering with strut coil over shocks and a heavy duty anti-sway bar to improve handling.
The rear differential is a BMW E-36 item and uses centrally guided multi- link, 2 track control arms and one longitudinal arm.
The brakes are 4-wheel power discs and the Cobra rides on 18” Halibrand knock-off wheels.
Tires are Falken Azenis RT615K 295/40R/18 rear and 245/40R/18 up front.
The cockpit of this Backdraft is prepared like that of a fighter pilot.
Using VDO black-faced gauges to monitor the MPH, RPM’s, oil pressure, water temperature, fuel, charging system, and oil temperature.
Seats are black leather w/ padded 4-point Roush safety harnesses along with a Moto-Lita styled hardwood steering wheel and Ray Dyot side view mirrors.
Additionally, this Racing Cobra includes a Vintage Air heater and defroster as well as a tonneau cover and fabric top.
This Backdraft Racing Cobra is a blast to drive and draws attention wherever it goes.
